This interactive, collaborative mural project for Grades 6- 8th is themed around “The Meaning of Teamwork.” Palisades Middle School.
In this engaging collaborative project, students explored the concept of teamwork through the expressive visual languages of emojis and graffiti. After discussing the meaning of teamwork and examining how symbols and street art can convey emotion and identity, each student selected a word that represented teamwork and created emoji faces alongside graffiti-style lettering that reflected their chosen word.
The final mural celebrates the power of art and teamwork. In grades 6 through 8, students worked together, communicating, sharing decisions, and problem-solving as they planned and painted the mural.
